Who is Emeli?

Emeli Sandé was born in Alford, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland to a Zambian father and English mother on March 10, 1987. She studied Medicine at the University of Glasgow, but stopped in her fourth year. She said that education was one of the most important things to her, stating that if her music career failed, she has education to fall back on. The first song she wrote in was called "Tomorrow Starts Again". Richard Blackwood also had her down to MTV's Camden studios to sing gospel.

Fan Creation Weeks Are Here!

Hi everyone, so we had an idea. Do you have any drawings, photos, music you want to share with any other Emeli fans? If so our new installment will help with that.

We will now start sharing your fan-art, photos, song covers, drawings, graphics, and more and post their here, on the site! If you are interested in sharing your creations send them to us on Twitter or post them on our Facebook page. Depending on the response this gets we pick one fan a week but if we get a big response we will choose several a week.

If you don’t have anythin g to share yet but want to, go find your inspiration! We want creative projects to share, after all this for you to share your art and for other fans to enjoy!

This week we have a piano cover from Filip Ćabak. Filip contacted us on Facebook to tell us of his creation. Listen to his version of ‘Read All About, Pt. III’ below.
