Emeli Sande said it is an “amazing feeling” to have won a Brit Award before her debut album hit the shelves.
The singer was in Glasgow today performing for fans and signing copies of her debut album Our Version of Events, which was released on Monday.
Sande will collect the critics’ choice prize at the Brit Awards next week, capping a busy year for the singer.
She said: “The last year has been really fast. I’ve been in the background for the last couple of years behind music with songwriting, so performing myself has made the last year just very, very fast and very exciting.
“Its great to get acknowledgement from the industry, and to have people championing you is fantastic.
