The British star has headed to Angelic Studios in Oxfordshire to complete the final touches of the record before its release in 2016.
She has been recording with production duo Matt Holmes and Phil Leigh.
Sandé’s debut album Our Version of Events topped the UK chart back in 2012 and went on to sell over 2.2 million copies.
It spawned the hits ‘Heaven’, ‘Next to Me’, ‘Read All About It, Pt. II’, and ‘Clown’.
According to long-time collaborator Naughty Boy, Emeli Sandé was originally supposed to release her new album before Christmas.
However, when they realised that Adele’s 25 was going to be released, they decided to push back the music until the New Year.

Emeli Sande is a featured artist on Jess Glynne’s upcoming debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh’, out September 11th. Emeli is featured on track 10 titled, ‘Saddest Vanilla’.

David Guetta has premiered a new remix of his forthcoming single with Emeli Sandé exclusively on Digital Spy, the entertainment news agency reports.

The French DJ has reworked new cut ‘What I Did For Love’ himself along with Morten for a club remix of the dance anthem.

“I love this woman,” Guetta said of working with Sandé. “She is so talented and such a wonderful person.

“I have wanted to work with her for years, since she stepped in for Sia to perform ‘Titanium’ for me at the NRJ Awards a few years ago.

“We have been friends ever since, but she exploded – I had Nothing But The Beat in play and we never got the chance. Until now.

“The minute we stepped into the studio together, I knew it was worth the wait – she’s incredible.”

The original track has been lifted from Guetta’s latest album Listen, which topped the iTunes chart in 75 countries back in November.

It serves as the follow-up to previous hit singles ‘Lovers On The Sun’ and ‘Dangerous’, both of which were released in 2014.

Emeli Sandé has revealed that her second album will be out in early 2015.

The singer told Capital FM that she is “feeling quite strong” as she prepares to release the follow-up to her 2012 debut Our Version of Events.

She said of the album: “It’s going really good, really, really good. It’s feeling quite strong, so we’re just getting it finished off right now and hopefully I’ll be back in all of this pretty soon!”

Sandé’s Our Version of Events was the UK’s best-selling album of 2012, and featured hit singles ‘Heaven’, ‘Next To Me’ and ‘Clown’.

On Wednesday (November 19), it was announced that the singer will play an exclusive Christmas concert in aid of Shelter.

Sandé also features alongside the likes of One Direction, Sam Smith and Bono on Band Aid 30, which has already become the fastest-selling single of 2014 following its release on Monday.

She became the talk of the country when she performed during the 2012 Olympics.

But despite it being what she describes as an ‘exhilarating’ experience Emeli Sande has revealed she was racked with nerves.

When asked whether anything would top the experience for her, she exclusively told MailOnline: ‘ I hope nothing will top it nerves wise, it was the most nerve wrecking experience but the exhilaration after the performance made it all worth it.’

In a behind-the-scenes video, the 27-year-old, continued: ‘When you really push yourself and put yourself in such a high-pressure situation, it’s really great when it all goes well. I’m not sure anything will top the enormity but I do hope there comes a point when I test myself to those lengths again.’

She also told MailOnline how she likes to treat herself, sharing: ‘I usually indulge myself by buying musical instruments – ones that I sometimes don’t continue playing, such as the cello – I wish I had improved my playing before buying a quality cello.

‘But there are others that I love and cherish. I bought a baby grand piano, which cost a fortune, but it is a lifelong investment.’

It’s not all music thought and Emeli revealed how she likes to unwind: ‘There’s loads of ways that I relax … I love writing a new song and seeing something come from nowhere but equally I love going out with friends and listening to something that someone else has written.

‘I’ve also recently discovered the release that getting in the car, putting the roof down and going for a drive can provide – it really lets you clear your head. I grew up in nature so being in the open air surrounded by beautiful scenery feels like home. ‘

When quizzed about if she things she has found a happy medium between work and play, she said:

‘Somewhere in the middle. I think keeping a balance means you have to be flexible. Sometimes work takes priority sometimes life takes priority – it changes and I can accept that. And luckily I have amazing family and friends who accept that too.

‘Music has always been a part of my life, whether I was in showbiz or not, it’s a part of me.’

Talking about the past year, she said:  ‘This year has brought some big changes for me – veganism being one of them. I don’t eat any animal product. I feel lighter, I have more energy and most importantly I am more conscious of what I put into my body.

‘As long as you respect your body and give it what it needs as opposed to what you want – you’re winning. There are great vegan websites/blogs which give you loads of meal ideas and nutrition advice.

And she is very clearly about people being themselves: ‘It is important to me that young people, especially young females, know that what the media presents is only one way to look. It is not the way to look. I think it’s about setting your own standards for yourself and holding firm to them. Being creative I see fashion as a way to express who I am – I define who I am, nobody else. ‘

Emeli will be performing her FEEL XE track during a secret audio-visual gig at a central London location on 08 September as part of a series of stunts and events across the city to mark the global reveal of the Jaguar XE.

Jaguar has signed up actor Idris Elba, designer Stella McCartney and singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé to promote the launch of its XE sports saloon, with the singer inviting consumers to shape her new track via social media ahead of an audio-visual performance by the Thames.
Using the hashtag #FeelXE, consumers are invited to tell Jaguar and Sandé what exhilarates them, using words, pictures, sounds and films via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, as well as Sandé’s own Twitter and Facebook pages.

Sandé will then write a Feel XE song that will be performed in an audio-visual extravaganza on 8 September at a secret location by the banks of the Thames, with the event building to a climax featuring a reveal of the car.

Other events will also take place across London, all designed to encapsulate the mid-sized sports saloon’s “Exhilaration” brand identity.

Elba will tap into his love of cars and, with his production company Green Door Pictures, will create a “Feel XE project”; and designer McCartney is also devising her own project.

Sandé said: “I’m excited about working with Jaguar on the Feel XE campaign and with an incredible British brand.

“The new XE is innovative in its design and I can’t wait to start collaborating with the world, looking at what defines ‘Exhilaration’ for them, and premiering the track in London at what is going to be an incredible event.”

Elba said: “I have a passionate, personal connection to cars, and when I think of ‘Exhilaration’ I am immediately drawn towards the defining points in my life and the role that cars have played in these moments.”

McCartney said: “I’m passionate about British design and innovation. I’m proud to be involved in the Jaguar Feel XE campaign and look forward to this exciting partnership.”

In the build up to the event in September, Jaguar’s Facebook page will carry behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.
