Emeli Sandé and Muse among winners at Q Awards

Emeli Sandé and Muse picked up gongs at the Q Awards today (October 22).

The music magazine held its annual awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Hotel and a number of stars attended, including Kylie Minogue and Example.

Emeli Sandé won the coveted Best Solo Artist award whilst Muse picked up the Best Act In The World Today prize.

Other winners on the day included Killers mainman Brandon Flowers in the Q Idol category and Plan B, whose ‘iLL Manors’ won Best Track.

Blur beat off competition from the likes of The Stone Roses and The Cribs to win Best Live Act whilst Django Django landed the Q Best New Act award.

Emeli Sande will be at Variety Plahouse in Atlanta, Georgia on October 13th. This is a new concert just like the other new concert at the Paradise Rock Club on October 10th. Visit Variety-Playhouse.com for more info! It seems like with all of these new shows being added Emeli will be touring over in the US in October then head back to the UK for her November tour!

Coldplay’s North American leg of their tour with Emeli Sande starts tonight! The first stop with The Air Canada Center in Toronto. The show starts at 8pm! Have a great time if you are going, make sure to take videos! If you want to share them you can post a link in the chatbox on the sidebar!

Earlier today Emeli performed at ‘T in the Park’ Emeli performed ‘Daddy’, ‘Wonder’, ‘My Kind of Love’, ‘Heaven’, covered ‘One Love’ by Bob Marley ,and may have performed more. Emeli Sande is on the verge of cracking America as she’s set to play a tour of stadiums in the US with Coldplay next month.

But what does the Scottish lass take with her when she travels? Porridge of course!
