Budweiser’s Made in America Festival was so successful last year, that Philadelphia is readying a 2nd
annual go-around for 2013.
On Labor Day weekend, August 31-September 1, at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, stars upon stars will descend on the City of Brotherly Love to perform with Beyonce headlining the concert weekend. Her sister Solange is also in the lineup, along with Miguel, Emeli Sande, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, and other artists from other genres will show their love for the country during the patriotic weekend.
Last year, Jay-Z headlined the concert which was filmed by director Ron Howard for a documentary about Jay-Z’s rags to riches story and being “made in america.” The doc is slated to be released this summer. “We’re hoping it comes out this summer sometime right before the next Made in America festival,” Paul Chibe, vice president of U.S. marketing at Anheuser-Busch says. “It’s still in production and we continue to develop it. It’s an amazing narrative.”
